St Clement's Church (Tur Chliamainn), or the Church of Rodel as it is also known, was built from about 1520 by Alexander MacLeod of Dunvegan and Harris. It is generally thought to be the grandest medieval building anywhere in the Western Isles. It is a truly stunning building and well worth a visit during your stay with us. Harris Outdoor Adventure Centre is a 30 minute drive away in Leverburgh and offers all sorts of land and water based activities for you to enjoy during your stay. Appropriate kit will be provided whether you choose sea-kayaking, sailing or wind-kiting and cycling activities can also be arranged. Don't forget to visit the beautiful Luskentyre Beach. In May 2012 it was named as one of the top 100 travel experiences in the world. Travel Magazine have compiled the guide which ranks the Harris beach alongside Brazil, Florida and South Africa. The guide said “It’s got Caribbean-white sand, Maldives-blue sea, but an average temperature of 7°C! It’s heart-racingly beautiful — and often empty.”
Hebrides Art is a wonderful gallery and coffee shop situated in Seilebost . The gallery is run by Lesley and Alisdair Wiseman who aim to introduce the very best in Hebridean art and crafts, traditional island hospitality and a great place to have a cuppa and enjoy some yummy cakes. Hebrides Art is a VisitScotland 5-star Visitor Attraction and is open Monday to Saturday, April to September, 10:30am to 5:00pm (except Mondays in April and September) – last orders at 4.30pm.
